Wings

The Guildhall complex has different 'wings'. The West Wing is the building with the bookshop, clockmakers museum and Guildhall Library. That wing was opened 1974? The North Wing (recently refurbished) is the Giles Gilbert Scott designed one? 212.183.134.66 (talk) 21:22, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, page 58 of this book shows an older illustration of the hall than that currently in the article. If you'd like help lifting it and cleaning it up for this article, drop me a line on my talk page. Parrot of Doom (talk) 19:06, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Roman circus

Am I correct that the remains of the Roman town's circus (which the article calls an "amphitheatre") were discovered and excavated at least partly under the plaza in front of the Guildhall? I believe an inlaid concrete band forms a large curve across the plaza pavement, following the outline of the circus. This might be worth noting (assuming I have it right), since it's visible to the public. --Michael K SmithTalk 22:36, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Guildhall, City of London - Diliff.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on October 6, 2015. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2015-10-06. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Guildhall, London
Guildhall is a building in the City of London, off Gresham and Basinghall Streets, that has been used as a town hall for several hundred years. It remains the ceremonial and administrative centre of the City of London and its Corporation. This photograph shows the interior of its main room, a medieval great hall dating back to 1411.Photograph: David Iliff
