Band Start date[edit]

I was reading that the band started in 2012, the article says that members of the band considered it to start when Kassie Carlson joins. But the reference says, "Shafiee says the band started in earnest in 2012 when Carlson joined the band"

I will have to consult other sources, but to me that does not seem like it is saying the band started in 2012. I mean Kassie Carlson joined the band after her own band played at the same time as Guerilla Toss. So Guerilla Toss existed before then. I do not get a sense from this one source that the band stared when Kassie joined, rather that it became what it is now because she joined. But tracking the history of the band means talking about how it was a band with the same people who played with that name before 2012.

I don't see the band saying they started, rather that Shafiee says the band started in earnest. Which is different. But even if they really do not consider the band to have started until 2012, that is different than the fact that they existed since at least 2010.
