Fiesta Inn has received significant coverage in reliable sources and passes WP:CORPDEPTH, but since this Grupo Posadas article is a stub-class article, it makes sense to include information in one place. Source examples for Fiesta Inn include, but are not limited to (some are Non-English): [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8]. These can be used to improve and expand information about the hotel chain and Grupo Posadas. Northamerica1000(talk) 02:15, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Do not merge I believe that Fiesta Inn should be kept as an independent article, because it is a distinct brand. Distinct brands are frequently sold by their parent companies and really do have a life of their own. Larry Grossman (talk) 09:55, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Admittedly, the Grupo Posadas article needs work, but the Fiesta Inn article should not suffer just because the article on its parent is bad. I will put in some work on the Grupo Posadas article to bring it up a bit, and hopefully other editors can join in too.Larry Grossman (talk) 10:00, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability Discussion[edit]

I believe that Grupo Posadas as the owner of more than 100 hotels and the former owner of Mexicana is a significant topic for Wikipedia and that the notability tag can therefore be removed. Would anyone object? Larry Grossman (talk) 23:22, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
