Comment about Reading fans[edit]

The comment "Since then he has become a fan favourite, the fans at Reading FC often calling for him to come on and help out with some of his famous long throws." Isn't true, we may have wanted to see him play more but he never became a fan favourite which is expected of our record signing who rarely played.

So I have removed the comment. (Tidus mi2 12:55, 11 June 2007 (UTC))[reply]

£2.25m[edit]

Trust us on this, Steve Coppell accidentally gave away the fee on BBC Radio Berkshire.

Obviously theres no citation for this but any Reading fan can back it up —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.148.80.31 (talkcontribs) 21:40, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, Wikipedia requires sources for information, rather than just a "trust me", hence why this "fact" has been tagged for requiring a citation. Have a look at the relevant policies at WP:V and WP:OR. robwingfield «TC» 22:55, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This BBC Berkshire article shows that the price was at least 2.25m [1], perhaps it could be reworded from "believed to be" to "at least" or "in excess of" Peptastic (talk) 05:10, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
