Refs[edit]

The editor who wrote the article referred to Greenwood's two 1961 papers as 1961a and 1961b, but labeled both refs as 1961a. I think I have copies some place I can check to try to figure it out... Dicklyon (talk) 04:17, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Greenwood function[edit]

The quantity...

...s undefined.

It would also be helpful to explain why the resonant frequency at a point x is a sum (integral) of something going from 0 to x. Physically, this is unintuitive as it is not an obvious property of systems such as a mesh of masses connected by springs.

If this quantity is not crucial to understanding the main contribution, perhaps it wold be simpler to simply leave it out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Randallbsmith (talkcontribs) 17:56, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
