Image:Greco Guitars Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. yes, I removed it[edit]

As a guitar fanatic, I do not enjoy removing all the lists from this article. Simply, Wikipedia is not a fan site, and is not a place to collect mere data, especially data that is only of interest to hardcore fans or collectors. That sort of data belongs in fan-discussion sites and blogs.

What Wikipedia should be is prose passages that describe the company, its history, the key product series, and the "most significant" products (as so labeled by some credible outside source, which is clearly cited in the article). Lists of "notables" (users, public appearances, use in recordings) must have originated with (again) some credible outside source; often, lists provided by manufacturers are not kept current (for instance, a promotional deal fell through three years ago but the company feels justified in keeping the star's name on their endorsement list).

I hope that someone will collect the data I removed, place it where it's appropriate and appreciated, and provide an External Link in this article.
