Past locations[edit]

I recommend someone clean up that section, as it doesn't look like an encyclopaedic article. More like random sentence fragments.Sposato (talk) 02:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I grew up in Miami, and can attest that there were at least 2-3 Grand Union grocery stores in Miami, Florida during the late 1970s and into the early 1980s. At the time I had no idea that the chain was based in the Northeast. 24.188.132.109 (talk) 07:43, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Max[reply]

Thanks for telling me this, but this section is to discuss the article rather than the subject. FotoPhest (talk) 20:20, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Locations List[edit]

I removed it because it is unencyclopedic in both tone and content. Wikipedia is not a directory (WP:DIRECTORY), even for a defunct chain. oknazevad (talk) 21:13, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm moving it to my blog and will put a link. FotoPhest (talk) 18:12, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Whoever keeps putting the list back; please don't. I don't make the rules. Just go to my site. I don't want an edit war. FotoPhest (talk) 18:03, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Crikey, this has been going on for over a year now? --jpgordon::==( o ) 07:03, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, enough of that. I've semi-protected the article, since the anon refuses to actually discuss anything. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:58, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It can be treated as vandalism from here on out; 3RR does not apply. --jpgordon::==( o ) 06:00, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Got bored again. Semi-protected again. --jpgordon::==( o ) 06:23, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Again. --jpgordon::==( o ) 23:21, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Again. Yawn. --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:34, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Five stores are closed[edit]

I just found out in the Store Locator that there are now 26 stores left, because they have closed 5 locations. No stores are active in Pennsylvania. There's still one in Connecticut and one in Massachusetts. Sjkop123 (talk) 18:50, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. The article's been updated.oknazevad (talk) 19:52, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Why does the "red dot" logo lack a red dot? --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:37, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's a black-and-white image of it; the dot in the "A" was actually colored red on signs and ads. The current image could easily be colorized. Sadly, I am currently unable to do such. oknazevad (talk) 19:53, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
