The AfD is stale now and was divided since it had a few keep votes too. Previous Afd focussed on non notable politician. The subject is not just a politician but a social activist too. More importantly lot of events of notable activism have happened since the last AfD that makes the person pass WP:GNG. I have added some links for the reviewer to consider his continuous coverage in the national newspapers of India. The article has been improved. @Nizil Shah in some refs, he was referred to as Gopal Patel. I understand that his common name is Gopal Italia, so I assumed may be patel is his middle name.
