A fact from Godmersham Park appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 15 September 2017 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
There is an interesting suggestion at RNAS Capel of an airship mooring at the park in the First World War, and some sources suggest it being selected by Peter Fleming (brother of Ian) for reuse as a base for the Auxiliary Units in the Second World War. I am not sure how close this is to the house, or whether it is worth mentioning.
