Terminology[edit]

I think a problem has been created in the development of articles about goaltenders, goalkeepers and variations. Trying to associate them with certain sports has caused some of the infoboxes on players to be incorrect. Check out the lacrosse goalies, and you'll see goaltender next to position in the infobox, however for lacrosse the position article is called Goalkeeper (lacrosse).

We need to decide how to rectify this. Thoughts?--THE FOUNDERS INTENT TALK 03:59, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The lacrosse player infobox now automatically links to this article and displays it as "goalkeeper" if either one is entered into the infobox.--Yarnalgo talk to me 18:16, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move to "goaltender"[edit]

I think this should be called goaltender because both the MLL award and NLL award refer to the position as "goaltender". --Yarnalgo talk to me 05:51, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No objections in almost a week so I'm moving it. --Yarnalgo talk to me 22:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
