Discussion[edit]

Although C. Galos is definitely not an important classical composer, having two 'hit' songs that appear in several music books up to this day, does show that he is worth mentioning. There are various other articles of lesser known composers on Wikipedia with only 1 broadly remembered song. As such, C. Galos deserves his place here too.

I think it is important to have this page because I could hardly find any other information on the composer and would like other people to add to the article. But without any starting point it is difficult to know more about the subject.

His songs belong to a collection of famous pieces for the piano. Famous piece, therefore at least a mentionable composer I'd say.

Please see WP:N. The subjects of articles must satisfy a basic notability policy. Notability is established by providing multiple, reliable, third-party references. Can you have a look at WP:CITE and provide the information on Galos from the books that published his music? If so, the article will have a better chance of being kept. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 23:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can tell he appears to be a legitimate and worthy composer. I'm going to do some research over the next day or two and see what I can come up with. Jamesofur (talk) 23:38, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On a side note I see you made an article (with a redirect atm) for his full name. We may want to use that as the main page once the article is fully developed.
Yes, that would be better than simply the last name. Someone should request deletion of the redirect and then move this article there. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 23:50, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it looks like there is no agreement on what the first name actually was. I'll move this article to C. Galos. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 23:54, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Multixfer Jamesofur (talk) 03:22, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm hesitant to put it down at the moment but it seems the name is completely shrouded in mystery I've found a lot of refrences to Giselle C. Galos sometimes with Giselle 2nd and one reference actually asking for more historical info on Mme Giselle Galos thinking it was a she. Unfortunatly not very good refrences. Could you place the refs you find here? Even if they're not tip top by themselves, marginal refs often point us towards better ones. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 16:38, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
