Untitled[edit]

Worth mentioning "I Just Wanna Stop" was written by his brother, Joe (according to liner notes I've seen, at least...)? Trekphiler 23:13, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chart Peak Positions[edit]

I'm going to try and go through the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and see how many of these I can nail down. Someone is going to have to find the other two categories, as I am mostly busy with WP:USRD and WP:CASH articles. (I'm doing this little bit because Gino is one of my all-time favs!) Edit Centric (talk) 10:59, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eight so far, I need some sleep! I've bookmarked everything so I can pick this up again manyana. (All listed peaks are source-verifiable at www.billboard.com. It takes a bit of searching, but they're there!) Edit Centric (talk) 11:14, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference Sources[edit]

When we are adding source citations, it's important that we're citing reliable third-party sites and articles. I removed all references that cited the Tripod fansite, as fansites are not considered adequate under WP:NPOV. Each instance needs sourced to a news article or location website, such as if the Flamingo Club had it's own site... Edit Centric (talk) 19:27, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hyperbolic Language[edit]

This is not a fan site, and the article shouldn't read as though it were written by a PR flunky. Words such as "electrifying" should be removed.68.72.94.110 (talk) 01:10, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations where necessary.

No, it only has 3 inline citations, and needs more referencing. It also contains some "citation needed" tags.

2. The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies.

OK

3. The article has a defined structure.

OK

4. The article is reasonably well-written.

OK, although it still contains some superlatives that shouldn't be there, eg "It was an inspired and inspirational gig."

5. The article contains supporting materials where appropriate.

OK, it has an infobox, a couple of photos, and tables of albums and hit singles.

6. The article presents its content in an appropriately accessible way.

OK

As the article clearly fails criteria #1 and isn't a clear pass on #4, I am changing its "class" rating from B to C. PKT(alk) 23:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Insufficient Incomplete Information[edit]

There is a lot of information missing on this Gino Vanelli page. He was innovative and ahead of his time with his use of sythesizers. The facts on the page are very dry and not well conveyed. It doesn't go into any info on who he studied with as a singer, how he really got into music, etc. Anyone is welcome to add more pertinent info. I believe the section on the Boston Celtics is totally ridiculous and unnecessary. Gino Vanelli has been reduced to some mascot of a basketball team and that's truly groping for anything that puts the guy on the map.

Here are some ideas of what is needed to fill in the gaps:

Who did Gino date, and marry? Does he have children, is he a father? Who are his main influences? Are then any direct quotes that can be used to enhance this article?

This article reflects dry, boring facts that doesn't reflect on the artist's life. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.124.149.187 (talk) 02:52, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Operatic License[edit]

The article mentions an Operatic License. To operate what? Operator of a taxicab? More info needed here. MS, Dania Fl 206.192.35.125 (talk) 15:45, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
