Georges Brassens, factual error

The article reads : Georges Brassens was born in Sete in southern France, SIXTY kilometres NORTH of Montpellier.

I believe it should read: Georges Brassens was born in Sete in southern France, SOME THIRTY kilometres SOUTH WEST of Montpellier.

For the following reasons: Montpellier is located 43.600 North, 3.883 East (inland) Sete is located 43.400 North, 3.683 East (a harbour on the Mediterranean coast)

The Great Circle distance between them is calculated as 27 kilometres.

This can be confirmed by observation of a map of the region.

Anarchist

Perhaps the article should mention this, no? I don't know anything about Brassens so I don't know how to include it or how much prominence to give it... but at current the article does not mention the words "anarchist", "anarchy" or "anarchism" once. ~ Switch (✉✍☺☒) 07:32, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

National Poetry Prize

I can find several sites confirming that Brassens won the French National Poetry Prize, but none giving any details about what it is, when he received it, and which work earned him the award. Neither the English nor the French Wikipedia has a page on the Prize ("Prix national de la poésie" in French). The award does not have a website. Does anyone know details about it? Need for sources & references

The original French article is tagged for lack of sources, so it's not at all clear where any of this material has come from. The single link under 'references' doesn't go anywhere. Until some citations of sources are provided, this translation isn't a valid proof-reading candidate. A lot of work to be done if anyone out there knows where to start. I have spotted a mistake at the end of the CAREER § : There was no concert in 1970, just a visit. Therefore I suggest slightly modifying the last two sentences of the quoted § as shown below.

"... A few trips to Belgium and Switzerland; a month in Canada (1961, recording issued on CD in 2011) and another in North Africa were his only trips outside France – except for his 1970 stay at Colin and Carol Evans’ in Wales and the concert they invited him to give there three years later (Cardiff [4] - oct 1973). This Sherman Theatre concert saw Jake Thackray — a great admirer of his work – open for him.[5] "
