The 'gender empathy gap' could mean two things[edit]

It is unclear whether this article is about the gap in empathy between genders, or the gap between the empathy people have for Females and the empathy people have for males. 2600:1014:B02C:6713:9931:94F1:C60A:AD37 (talk) 07:07, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

'Gender empathy gap' is unclear[edit]

This could be referring to two different things 2600:1014:B02C:6713:9931:94F1:C60A:AD37 (talk) 07:08, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

problem with introduction[edit]

The line 'Many studies show that females have a higher score of empathy than males, but no significant difference in cognitive empathy, which mostly used self-report measurement.' does not make any sense, and may or may not be relevant to this page if it were fixed to reflect the conclusion of the source. Claims made when citing a source should obviously reflect what is actually written in said source. 2600:1014:B02C:6713:9931:94F1:C60A:AD37 (talk) 07:21, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Need for expansion[edit]

This article is not well fleshed out. In particular, it's odd that the "gender empathy gap and sexism" section only mentions sexism against men. More research should be added, including more recent sources. NuanceQueen (talk) 23:38, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any exmaples of sexism against women due to the gender empathy gap? I've never heard of this occuring so it would be interesting to read about. —Panamitsu (talk) 00:42, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not off the top of my head (or a quick Google.) It just seems odd to have a subsection that holds all the content for the section it's under. If there's no evidence of sexism against women as a result of the gap, then I don't think sexism against men needs its own header, since it's not being divided from anything.
