Merge Discussion[edit]

Have taken the interwiki links from the german article. Avoided saying that this categorization unique to the German School system, although that does appear to be the case. Lycurgus 10:57, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki links are virtually identical to the ones in Humanities - a case for merging? GregorB 00:13, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ich bin dagegen. Es gibt eine wichtige Unterschied zwischen die zwie Themen. 71.186.178.249 01:30, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I withdraw my objection to the merge if no native German speaker wishes to supply the content. Lycurgus (talk) 12:33, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, this categorization of sciences is not identical with Humanities. To solve the interwiki confusion, I will create an article Humanities on de.WP. -- 790 (talk) 21:54, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The quote I added highlights the distinction (btw I was 71.186.178.249). 74.78.162.229 (talk) 02:28, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think the differences in definition warrant either a Humanities article on de.WP or a Geisteswissenschaften one on en.WP. They are for all intents and practical purposes equivalent. Existing differences should be discussed in small sub-sections of the main articles in each language (as has been suggested for the Humanities article on de.WP). -- Mona Mothma (talk) 21:25, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Mona, it doesn't appear that your thoughts on this matter could be of much interest. Lycurgus (talk) 14:56, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do not see a need at all to merge this article with anything, it needs to be clarified and expanded. Further background is in the introduction to Gadamer's Truth and Method. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.247.40.55 (talk) 02:31, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
