Essence of wind[edit]

As defined, the "essence" of wind is "the flow of gases on a large scale". On Earth, maybe "the large-scale movement of air caused by pressure differences in the atmosphere". You are dealing with energy (which is precisely defined in physics) basically all the time. It's so general a concept that energy isn't the essence of anything.--ospalh (talk) 15:54, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rkerver added this 'see "Energy balance climate models" by G. R. North and M. J. Stevens in "Frontiers of Climate Modeling", 2006; Edited by J. T. Kiehl and V. Ramanathan"'. I said that energy is involved in wind or climate, so having one group of scientists using "energy" and "climate" together as the title of a chapter of an obsure science text book doesn't prove "that the essence of the wind is energy". So i reverted that edit.ospalh (talk) 11:10, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
