List of examples[edit]

It will be better to have text that describes what makes a quarterback a game manager than to list examples like Trent Dilfer or Alex Smith. What usually ends up is an endless list of peoples favorite players, but it wont give readers an idea of what makes a game manager unless they follow the NFL.—Bagumba (talk) 09:58, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I agree that endlesslistitis happens far, far too often in sports Wikilists in general, but as long as people actually follow the existing examples' precedents, we should be OK. Ylee (talk) 10:26, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Dilfer is notable as a Super Bowl quarterback. I removed mention of Smith, but noted that the Chronicle said it can be a compliment of sorts. Example of usage of the term in sentences is more suitable for Wiktionary.—Bagumba (talk) 22:20, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
