A little side note about Roscoe that some folks may not know. He was an industrial inspector familiar with welding. I was a welder for Pennington Mfg. in Port Hueneme CA back in 1977-78. Roscoe was the inspector hired to oversee the first weld test I ever took on the job. It was a 6" pipe test, 6G position and I remember asking him if I could run a E6010 hot pass over the root pass before filling it up with E7018. He said, "You didn't ask me." which was his way of saying, go ahead kid, we won't tell. Doubledink (talk) 20:25, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
