Antagonists[edit]

Hey. Under the list of antagonists it includes PEA (phenylethylamine) with reference to Berrett et al. 2005. However I just read the article and it did not say that PEA is an antagonist but that trace amines (including PEA) may have an inhibitory effect on GABAergic neurones (which is completly different). Move[edit]

I'm taking the liberty of moving GABA B receptor to GABAB receptor since that way the proper name can show up in the title with the {{downsize}} template. Locations in the brain?[edit]

Additionally, is it appropriate to say "central and peripheral autonomic nervous system?" A cursory review of literature has produced a few usages of the term "central autonomic nervous system" in the context of CNS areas that regulate the autonomic portion of the peripheral nervous system. However, the autonomic nervous system page and my prior understanding define the autonomic nervous system as a division of the peripheral nervous system, exclusive of the CNS. Is it correct to imply that a central autonomic nervous system exists? Or was the intent of the present article's author to imply that the CNS areas involved in PNS autonomic regulation also express GABAb receptors? Intro needs rewrite[edit]

"The changing potassium concentrations hyperpolarize the cell at the end of an action potential." This is wrong- opening of K channels doesn't produce significant concentration changes, it merely shifts V towards Ek.
