Smuggling[edit]

Was Genepi smuggled into Switzerland on the Zermatt / Cervinia border? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.42.47.92 (talkcontribs)

Alternate Uses[edit]

A user made a substantial edit, adding much content to the page. Among this added information was several alternate uses of the word "génépi". Since there are no pages dealing with the alternate uses, and on quick glance they don't seem notable enough to merit their own pages, I have deleted them from the lead. But I'm placing them here in case someone wants to build upon them in the future:

"Genepi is the name of a lake, a mountain, a mountain pass, a glacier and a hotel in Savoy Alps."

The mountain is in the French Alps near Saint-Agnan-en-Vercors (see Peakery.com). -Krasnoludek (talk) 14:55, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Citations[edit]

Very enjoyable article to read, but due to lack of citations comes across as overly editorial. Section 'Genepi at Home' is interesting but contains no citations. Harry Sargent (talk) 20:07, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Distilled Génépi[edit]

Genepy Le Chamois and Genepy Herbetet are both at least partially redistilled. The recipe I've seen from the 1800s (from Pierre Duplais) is redistilled as well. At least one contemporary commercial product is not distilled, and I'd imagine there are plenty of home recipes that aren't, but the text currently in the article is clearly, at a minimum, too sweeping. 35.9.194.7 (talk) 01:47, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
