merge[edit]

Because Franz Stigler is notable for only one story and because the article Franz Stigler is not sourced very well I believe it should be merged into new article Charlie Brown and Franz Stigler story.--Mbz1 (talk) 17:30, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Franz Stigler[edit]

2003:DC:8BC5:5F42:808:8D13:3BFD:EA5F (talk) 03:45, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

His father was a WWII pilot?[edit]

In the first paragraph there is a sentence reading: "His father, also named Franz, was a World War II pilot/observer." Franz junior would have turned 30 in 1945, so his father is likely to have been in his fifties or even 60. I find it unlikely that Franz senior would have been a pilot in the Second World War. Maybe the sentence quoted above is meant to refer to WW I? Avaitors in WW I were commonly referred to as pilot/observer, which was not a common term in the Second World War. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xtal42 (talkcontribs) 10:44, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
