A fact from Franz Kamphaus appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 2 February 2014 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Bishop Franz Kamphaus(pictured) opposed the pope, "convinced that our way of counselling women would save the lives of many more children"?
Translating "Schwangerschaftskonfliktberatung" as "pregnancy advice in conflict situations" is misleading; it seems to suggest war rape. The "conflict" seems to be an inner conflict on the part of the pregnant woman; Schwangerschaftskonflikt is roughly "emotional turmoil consequent on pregnancy". See also linguee translations Schwangerschaftskonfliktberatung, Schwangerschaftskonflikt I suggest Schwangerschaftskonfliktberatung is better translated "counselling for unwanted pregnancy" — or even "pregnancy counselling" (which in English does not appear to mean "counselling on how to become pregnant", which would be "fertility counselling"). jnestorius(talk) 10:44, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
