Addition of unsourced BLP material[edit]

@Scotch80Music: You seem intent on edit warring over the addition of unsourced and promotional material to this biography of a living person. You have also ignored repeated requests to discuss the matter. Would you please do so now? NewYorkActuary (talk) 02:36, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unencyclopedic style[edit]

"It was no surprise to anyone when Lava/Atlantic Records snapped him up..."
Could someone correct instances such as this?--Adûnâi (talk) 02:37, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Adûnâi: I tried to do that a few months back (see the first section of this Talk page). I had been restoring the article to this version, but found myself in an edit war with someone who refused to discuss the matter. Would you support a second attempt at cleaning this article? NewYorkActuary (talk) 14:31, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Can you report that user?--Adûnâi (talk) 15:13, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Adûnâi: It might have been possible to report the episode at the administrative noticeboard that specialises in Edit Warring (WP:ANEW). And the fact that the other editor refused to engage in discussion would have made the case stronger. But that noticeboard usually doesn't involve itself in analyzing the disputed content and would likely have just advised us to start a Request for Comments on the issue. And this would have been especially true given that the dispute last year was between two editors only (making it impossible to declare that there was a consensus to not have the promotional material). But if there is a second editor with the same concerns, the chances of cleaning this article will be better. NewYorkActuary (talk) 00:25, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
