Instrumental Version[edit]

If George Jellinek was correct, the instrumental version of this piece (far more often performed than the vocal) came first, the words (which he described as "barely acceptable"), later. Anybody know? Kostaki mou (talk) 22:27, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

According to a note on the first page of the score in the Eulenberg Edition (see http://imslp.org/wiki/Fr%C3%BChlingsstimmen,_Op.410_(Strauss_Jr.,_Johann), the vocal version is indeed the original. Kostaki mou (talk) 22:27, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
