I have now provided an external link to a very recent newspaper article on this horse, give people time to improve it. If you look at "what links here" you will see that there were several red links to this article before I created it, suggesting that it was needed. PatGallacher 14:12, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flying Bolt was one of the greatest horses ever to run over hurdles or fences. How great is a matter of opinion. Opinion is that Arkle was the best ever [I, myself, think he was the best in my fifty odd years of watching racing - oh, look - opinion!] - per Timeform. But how astonishing that the two best horses in history [until later opinion disagrees] were very close contemporaries - and in the same stable. And with such different temperaments!
