Children's Book[edit]

How are the flanimals series for children? There's strong suicide, homocide, molestation, and nudity issues throughout the books. I think they;re more of a teenage thing basically 82.18.180.58

Actually Ricky Gervais tries to put the world of evolution in a very nice way to children. I am not a teenager, I am more than 25 years old and I find it very very amusing. If you don't find "Psquirm - p is not silent" or "this creature is so slow that it is slower than a still creature " etc funny, I don't think you should be reading these 'devastating' books anyway! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.17.111.39 (talk) 07:07, 17 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

List[edit]

I think we should make a complete list of the flanimals introduced in this book. Not an anon anymore!!!! Yeah!!!! 18:58, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I second that; would be better still if we had some images of the flanimals too

Fair use rationale for Image:FlaminalsBookCover.jpg[edit]

Image:FlaminalsBookCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A couple of flanimals have separate articles[edit]

Should they be merged in to a "List of flanimals" article? YOWUZA TALK 2 ME! 16:03, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Purpose[edit]

It's patently obvious to anyone who is familiar with Gervais and who sees these books that the humour arises solely from the fact that something so ridiculously bad could get published simply because of the name behind it. In that respect it is quite a funny joke, but has he ever actually admitted this anywhere so it could be included in the article? Or would the backlash from the people who paid money for these and were consequently the butt of the joke be too much? Aredbeardeddwarf (talk) 12:13, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
