Last Trivia item[edit]

Does the last Trivia item really belong? If the dog's pleading reminds someone of an unwed mother, it's just that person's impression. The scene might remind other viewers of any number of things. Anyway, newborns aren't routinely taken away just because their mothers aren't married. I suggest deleting this item as nonencyclopedic. Cognita 09:25, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:FeedtheKittyTitle.jpg[edit]

Image:FeedtheKittyTitle.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Pussyfoot's gender[edit]

As stated in the "Marc Anthony and Pussyfoot" page discussion, Pussyfoot is NOT female, and in fact Marc Anthony's owner refers to Pussyfoot as "him" when she discovers the ruse at the end of the cartoon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.252.246.14 (talk) 18:31, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sometime after your comment, I had established Pussyfoot as female, but I later reversed that when I realized there's actually no official agreement on the kitten's gender. Keep in mind that it's common practice for people to use male terms when the gender is not known (male-biased gender-neutral), so the owner calling the kitten "him" is probably gender-neutral and not an actual declaration of gender. I've since restored the usage I originally edited, so that Pussyfoot is "it" and "the kitten", to keep it truly gender neutral. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 19:30, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
