WP:THREE top sources[edit]

As per WP:THREE, I believe these sources best showcase the notability of the subject of this article, meet WP:RS, WP:NCORP, WP:GNG, WP:SIGCOV, and WP:NMUSICOTHER. Note that the majority of sources that cover the music industry are "niche" but niche does not equate to unreliable.

1. Masson, Gordon (2023-10-03). "Stephan Thanscheidt's journey to FKP Scorpio CEO". IQ. ISSN 2633-0636. Retrieved 2023-11-09. — A secondary source independent of subject, notable within the industry. FKP and its growth is one of the primary subjects of the article along with its CEO, not based on promotional material or solely an interview.

2. Fengler, Denis (2017-11-16). "Bezirksamt Nord: Razzia wegen Rolling-Stones-Freikarten" [Northern District Office: Raid Over Rolling Stones Free Tickets]. Die Welt (in German). ISSN 0173-8437. Retrieved 2023-09-06. — A secondary source independent of subject, one of Germany's most read daily papers. Subject of the article is about FKP and a scandal they were involved in (allegedly offering government officials free tickets to a festival in order to get it approved.)

3. True, Holger (2017-09-02). "Der Mann, der die Stones nach Hamburg bringt" [The Man Who Brought The Stones To Hamburg]. Hamburger Abendblatt (in German). Funke-Mediengruppe. ISSN 0949-4618. Retrieved 2023-02-24. — A secondary source independent of subject, one of Hamburg's most read daily papers. FKP's history and its founder Folkert Koopmans' history is the subject of the article.

I believe these three citations meet WP:RS because:

  • They are reliable within their own industries/countries
  • Completely independent of the subject
  • Published - all have ISSNs
  • Have a reputation for accuracy - I am unable to find anything counter to this in WP:RSPSOURCES but they all have bylines, are published in publications that have been running for decades (suggesting stability), and all have editorial and corrections policies

Similarly, I believe the sources meet WP:GNG and thus WP:SIGCOV because they cover the subject in detail, whether it's focusing on its history and operations, or a scandal, or the people behind the business. FKP is not limited to trivial mentions in these sources.

I also believe they also show that the subject of the article meets WP:NCORP because they constitute significant coverage in multiple independent sources, and because they're all secondary sources.

Finally, I believe these sources show the subject meets the WP:NMUSICOTHER exemptions because it shows the business is frequently covered in publications devoted to the music industry (specifically the concert promotion industry.)
