Position[edit]

As per UEFA and Soccerway, he is a midfielder. On the Celtic website he is in the Defenders section. Maybe another being converted to a wingback? Trust me, the club website is wrong. Ciaran Diver, Grant Savoury, Kerr McInroy, Kristi Marku, Ross McLaughlin, Keiran Campbell and Tommy Caffrey shouldn't be in the defenders section either. At the end of the day, Celtic have to submit squad lists to UEFA. UEFA lists Henderson as a midfielder, so that's what Celtic submitted his position as and in my opinion should take precedence over the club website. It's not my gut feeling though, it's fact. SFA lists him as a midfielder (https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/players/?pid=216563). Newspapers also list him as a midfielder (http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15239341.Ewan_Henderson_hopes_he_can_follow_Liam__39_s_footsteps_into_Celtic_first_team/). Yeah I am happy with that until there's anything that actually says he played as a defender or video evidence etc. He came on for Patrick Roberts when Celtic were going for a win so seems unlikely they'd have brought on a newly trained defender for the last few mins, that's supposition of course but the sources seem to weigh towards the midfielder position too. Celtic's website is a bit weak for stats IMO, would definitely think Celticbhoy is correct about that being wrong, from checking last night i seem to remember they had 10 defenders and 2 midfielders in the sections so something has gone wrong there!
