J. Epstein[edit]

Only a "registered sex offender"? Seem like you are really afraid to accurately stating the reality; he was convicted of specific crimes, cherry picking out of all that the fact he was a registered sex offender is offensive. People can become a registered sex offendor for urinating in public after a night of drinking. Epstein was convicted and had a growing mountain of evidence showing child pornography, child rape, child slavery, human trafficking, and offering these services to many others who walk free. Becaue someone a "sex ring" can be made up of one person, and arresting one person will surely shut it down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.57.189.165 (talk) 22:13, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is he a philantropist? Can he be when he regularly raped children and used philantropy to conceal origin of funds? I think thats just money laundering, but maybe when white criminals do it, they can call it philantropy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.57.189.165 (talk) 22:39, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation from Eppstein is probably wrong[edit]

Eppstein (and there are two small towns according to German wikipedia) near Frankfurt is too small for Jews to have comfortably settled there. Jewish names after locations are also Berliner, Leipziger etc., not the town name without an addition.

When Jews took on surnames these were often after an object in the house when the inspector came to give them a surname, for money. It could well have been 'Wasserstein' or one needs to look for an old German expression what Eb/Ep/Epp could have meant. 2001:8003:AC99:3B00:2868:7783:532B:5D72 (talk) 05:56, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

He is not mentioned in either The Expanse (TV series) or The Expanse (novel series), suggesting that he is likely too minor a character for mention here. —David Eppstein (talk) 23:13, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

hes not a minor charachter. without him the whole books would make no sense. so i added him in the expanse novel series site Melindgo (talk) 23:51, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not impressed by the total lack of independent reliable published sources for the entire "characters" section. That's allowed for plot summaries but not for other parts of articles about fiction. And it makes it impossible to assess his significance to the series, beyond merely taking your word for it. —David Eppstein (talk) 00:09, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
