It looks from my search as though it's not the same thing as neurilemma. Epineurium is around a whole nerve [1] [2] [3], whereas neurilemma (at least usually) is around an individual axon [4] [5] as described in the article neurolemma.dsws 04:52, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Continuous with which meninges layer?[edit]

Is the epineurium really continuous with both arachnoid and dura? This source [6] suggests that the epineurium is composed of the dura only and the perineurium is composed of both pia and arachnoid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.254.153.159 (talk) 00:57, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can't read your reference (don't have the book), but I suspect you're right, and the statement you're contesting is still here, years later. I find two additional relevant references having to do with the Transition Zone from the central nervous system to the peripheral, including some pictures, but I don't really understand them. They are:
