Sinister?[edit]

Sinister?

Shouldn't sinister be the left-hand side? If that's the case, the Enfield beast should be on the dexteral side shouldn't it?

Sinister is Latin for left hand, however the heraldic convention refers to the left and right of someone holding the shield, which is opposite to that of someone viewing the shield. --Dr pda 12:35, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay thanks for that.--User:Sin-fuelled

"The Enfield" character[edit]

A cartoon Enfield has been appearing on posters around the borough such as [this http://www.enfield.gov.uk/downloads/roadsweeper.pdf]. Perhaps a note to this effect in the article? --78.146.75.11 (talk) 00:20, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Citations[edit]

There appear to be some citations under the following link saying what the enfield is made up of, if someone has the time to suitably rewrite the article to introduce some doubt. http://www.enfieldsociety.org.uk/beast.htm — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zirion (talkcontribs) 12:42, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
