TV-film ?[edit]

As far as I know this is not TV-film as it is not meant primary for use in TV, not produced by televison and after all filming technique is different ~~Xil (talk) 10:52, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not so sure it wasn't a made-for-TV film... on the website Filmas.lv, scriptwriter Alvis Lapiņš says (emphasis mine):

... Notika sarakste ar Zviedru Institūtu, kam pieder Lindgrēnas darbu tiesības, un viņu atbilde bija, ka, diemžēl, tas ir nepareizi darīts jau no paša sākuma. Producentiem - Centrālajai Televīzijai - bija vajadzējis sasaistīties ar Zviedru Institūtu. ... [1]

Furthermore, IMDb (not always a WP:RS, I agree), lists the production companies as both Rīgas kinostudija and Gosteleradio (probably who Lapiņš meant by "Centrālā Televīzija" above). —Zalktis (talk) 14:54, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A bit of original research :) I know a TV director, who told me that (as I said) TV films are filmed differently (videotaped) and were not produced at the time, every film had to be accepted by Moscow and it didn't realy matter by which state agency. Furthermore this film has been shown in cinemas (I've seen by my self), is frequently refered to as kinofilma and it was produced by studio and director who have nothing to do with TV ~~Xil (talk) 16:49, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
