Niche[edit]

The article is completely out of time. The time when Elegant Angel focussed on rather unconventional niche themes must have been at least a decade ago. Nowadays, they differ very much from Evil Angel, which is the harsh, severe and often almost obscene gonzo studio, while Elegant Angel has adopted a glossy, quality full looking design around 2011, including a professionally shooted photo of the usually partly clothed cover girl instead of the sex scene details from the past, which are btw still typical for Evil Angel and the studio of former Evil Angel director Jules Jordan. There are still some little specials at EA like the squirt- or the oil-theme but those are very few, and in fact they've already become very mainstream in the last years. (While female ejaculation had not only in science, but also for most porn productions outside of niche movies or studios been a taboo and only a few performers were known to "be able to do it", it has become extremely popular in the 2010's and gets in fact shown at least a few times by almost any performer, regardless of the studio or category.)

Since the end of the 2000s and since the 2010s Elegant Angel has become as mainstream as possible for a gonzo studio and one of the most important, successful and favorite studios, as they're now each year producing multiple showcases of already established and of course not too cheap performers, thereby usually helping them to reach the highest award honours and receive much more fame and success than before, both in bookings and awards. Also, they've actually been making a unique series of some of the most important industry titles and starting an always fiercely awaited tradition a decade ago, by producing a unique "Performers of the Year" movie with a selection of the currently most successful porn performers at the beginning of each year, including the incumbent AVN, XRCO, XBIZ winners of that category and a few nominated ones. It should be tough to always get all those famous performers together into one movie in pretty short time, so Elegant Angel seems to have considerable influence in the industry and budget to always guarantee that.

Another thing is, that autumn or actually September/October has become the widely awaited time when Elegant Angel announces and publishes its biggest showcase projects of the year, movies that completely revolve around one individual performer and therefore on the one hand increasing the performer's popularity and reputation and on the other hand generating a flood in sales for the studio because of the exclusivity of the showcase movie, a win-win situation. This makes EA's autumn releases usually a very good indicator for who might win the highest and most awards in January of the next year. --SamWinchester000 (talk) 13:02, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
