Merge[edit]

There was a merge tag here, but no discussion opened and no justification given, so I’ve removed it.
For the record, I’d oppose the merger; moving the content here to The Happy Return would create undue weight there and make the article ”clunky”. I don’t see how that would improve matters. Swanny18 (talk) 18:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting Mis-ascribation[edit]

re in which book of the original trilogy "El Supremo" appears. It is in the first book, BEAT TO QUARTERS, which takes place in the South American Pacific. THE HAPPY RETURN is the third book of the trilogy (the middle volume is SHIP OF THE LINE) and takes place in France, then England. 74.72.189.241 (talk) 04:27, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, "The Happy Return" was the first book; "Ship of the Line" was second (as you say) but the third was "Flying Colours". "Beat to Quarters" was just the American title for "The Happy Return", as the link makes clear. Swanny18 (talk) 17:46, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conversion to a dab page[edit]

There's little about the Hornblower character that isn't already in The Happy Return other than some OR speculation about Griffin. Clarityfiend (talk) 00:58, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
