The Battle of Tupelo article says he was wounded there, not that I know. Further there is no mention of Fort Rucker.Paul, in Saudi (talk) 03:39, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • He was wounded there, shot in arm and leg. Here you´ll find i.a. lots of information about his recuperation. And Fort Rucker is now mentioned even three times. ... GELongstreet (talk) 11:29, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The history of the 9th Illinois Cavalry, a document written by members of the unit 25 years after the war, claims to have been the unit which shot and captured him at the Battle of Nashville. In their memory of the event, it was claimed his command was scattered during the melee of the battle. Rucker, spotting a group of horsemen on a nearby hill, mistook a company of the Illinois 9th for one his own companies. Riding up to them, he began issuing orders for them to charge another nearby Union infantry grouping. The soldiers of the 9th, gaped at him in amazement for a moment before shooting him off his horse and taking him captive. Gudahle (talk) 17:59, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Episcopalist[edit]

What is episcopalist? Do you mean Episcopalian? Djmaschek (talk) 02:34, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is indeed what I mean. I think it is the alternative adjective form, however I changed it to your seemingly more common one. I also deleted your link to the 5th MS Infantry as it was the 5th MS Cavalry. Thanks for your edit. ... GELongstreet (talk) 09:23, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
