Logo image: Low resolution and license questionable[edit]

I added an infobox and used the 5 year old logo image from the German article. However it has quite a low resolution. eco offers much higher-resolution logos on their website under "Presse-Downloads", but with no stated license. (Concerning that, the old low res logo has no proof on its file description page that eco ever released it under the stated CC license.) I think I will write them a mail and ask what they think about releasing their logos under a free license. --ΟΥΤΙΣ (talk) 23:17, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Today, I finally talked to a nice eco lady who promised to email me a freely licensed English vector logo as well as a list of external press reports, publications and studies. I just referenced and linked eco's registration in the infobox. They have more info there that could be used in the article:

I wasn't able to wikiling or cite any sources for most of the entities named in the text. Please help me find sources for the following entities:

Large parts of the German article are unusable and not sourced[edit]

I will continue my translation work, given time, but I won't translate a large part of the current German article that I find unusable. This concerns the sections "Verbandsziele", "Vorstandsbereiche", "Kompetenzgruppen", "Services".

They read like a completely uncritical commercial PR blurb in the German original. While I do think that we could have a section about eco's "Structure" or "Organization", the German text has far too much irrelevant details and unwarranted enthusiam for the organization's aims.

Additionally, would you please look at the German article's sourcing situation. It's entirely self-published material by eco itself with no inline citations. Four links to "eco.de" is all there is.
This will not stand as an article in English Wikipedia on notability grounds alone.
Please help by adding external sources.

Quoting Exchange Point statistics[edit]

EVhotrodder, I noticed you tried to quote Packet Clearing House for the DE-CIX usage rankings. I think that's generally a good idea, but the problem here is that you are linking to a statistic that is dynamically generated from their server data. Someone who calls up your link a month or a year later will see something different than you. You generally quote fixed texts, not dynamic data.
You would use a web archiving point by the Internet Archive, but I'm not sure that this would work here, if IA would really pull and store the large amount of data behind this view. We could try. But of of far better value would be citing an article that reports about a certain standing, like "DE-CIX topping usage statistics again for 2020", if such a thing exists. --ΟΥΤΙΣ (talk) 14:06, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
