Rewriting[edit]
This is an aggregation of quotes from various court decisions, plus some personal opinion thrown in. Worst of all, it doesn't clearly state what or whom the liability insurer is supposed to defend - I'm not a lawyer, and I had to Google the term to get a proper understanding. I don't even see any evidence that it's limited to Californian law as the article claims. Thus I'll rewrite the article based on secondary sources. Huon (talk) 10:25, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
