Article is fine so far; I killed one adjective and did some formatting. Montanabw(talk) 02:52, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Found some RS sources that will verify some info:

If you want to put out some money (or use WorldCat to see if a library has this stuff, some in Texas do...) I found some material that might help expand this article:

  • This [1] probably won't cut it as a RS unless you can locate the magazine this article originally appeared and cite to it, but it should contain tidbits that lead you to RS -- like the results of the 1971 NCHA, etc... Follow up: See discussion below. Montanabw(talk) 03:11, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • This [2] doesn't have much, but it IS an RS because it's a direct scan from Western Horseman and you can site it as such.

Anyway, if I stumble across more, I'll let you know. Not a lot of reliable QH stuff online, but hardcopy books always good and Ealdgyth can probably double-check your cites to any QH hardcopy book because I think she owns all of them. Hope this helps. Glory Kurtz writes for a number of mags, including Cutting Horse Chatter. DD's in one of the Legends books also, I believe. Ealdgyth - Talk 03:08, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So the link above would pass RS in your book due to the Author even absent attribution to a magazine or wherever it first appeared? Montanabw(talk) 03:11, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I looked in the WH store and he didn't jump out in the online synopsis, but I didn't check full table of contents; if you know which one, holler. Montanabw(talk) 03:10, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, that link to the wetpaintfarms wouldn't because it's copyrighted and we don't link or use copyright violations. And, unfortunately, Dry Doc's not in the Legends series. (Not that they are necessarily the end-all-be-all of research - they tend to be a bit superficial, but they are better than nothing.) Ealdgyth - Talk 03:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
