Untitled[edit]

Some confusion here, I feel. This film is NOT based on Robert Stone's book of the same name, which was also filmed in 1978 and sometimes known as Who'll Stop the Rain. Pitoucat 08:15, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Memorable quotes[edit]

Why is there any need for this section? It's not encyclopaedic and it's completely unverifiable. If somone wants to know what other people think are memorable quotes, they can go to the (already linked) IMDb page. Or they can watch the film and find out what they remember. Unless someone comes up with a good reason why not to, I shall remove this section later this week. Telsa (talk) 10:21, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

People might want to see memorial quotes so they can get a good idea of what the movie is like, maby so they can then buy the film and watch it, and then feel that it is like they expected. from User:Badger Brock —Preceding comment was added at 22:51, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dog Soldiers DVD.jpg[edit]

Image:Dog Soldiers DVD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bad spelling[edit]

Could we get that sorted out its like a 10 year old wrote it! 92.13.69.212 (talk) 02:48, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've done a quick sift through the plot section, split it into paragraphs and put in some much-needed correct spelling and grammar. I don't have enough time right now to do a proper check through, though, so there's probably a few more errors in there I've overlooked.

straight to video in the US?[edit]

it had some limited theatrical release in the united states. i know it played at the brattle theater in cambridge, massachusetts. the boston phoenix lists a review of it playing in early 2003 (Issue Date: January 30 - February 6, 2003): http://thebostonphoenix.com/boston/movies/film/documents/02671914.htm Rmd1023 (talk) 03:48, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Rorke's Drift[edit]

Referred to within the movie. Not especially relevant otherwise, as that battle isn't a strong parallel to the one in the movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.79.173.26 (talk) 00:34, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing errors[edit]

The article is complaining about referencing errors "sfn error: multiple targets (2×):" Category:Harv and Sfn multiple-target errors. There are various references pointing to "Leicht 2015" but that could be either of two sources which both seem to be Bluray extra features. In the hope of an easy fix, I thought maybe one of the sources was added later but it seems as if both sources were added at the same time,[1] so it is not clear which reference is supposed to be which. I mention this so only so that if anyone else is interested in trying to fix the referencing errors they don't have to repeat this first step, before they try whatever else that might be needed to fix it. -- 109.78.195.245 (talk) 20:47, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An editor made a small fix to clear the big ugly error messages but someone with access to the Bluray may need to make further fixes.[2] -- 109.78.199.18 (talk) 11:53, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
