1,4 and 1,5 Diesters[edit]

The organic chemistry portal page doesn't specify how 1,4 and 1,5 diesters would react. From my knowledge of organic chemistry, I don't think they would react to form rings. I can't find a source for that information, so it should probably be removed. I have the same opinion: they would induce the formation of four and three member rings, and not five or six as reported (it's enough to count the carbon atoms to asses that). These rings are very strained for many reasons (angular, steric and other tensions) so their formation won't be favored and these systems could probably react intermolecularly, following the classic Claisen reaction scheme.
