  • The lead is somewhat short. Could it be, say 50% longer?
  • Units need to be converted to metric as well; {{convert}} makes this easy.

  • Remember to specify the country.

  • 'Shen' is a disambiguation page.
Not sure where you are refering.. Lvi56 (talk) 20:36, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Avoid the use of two-letter state abbreviations. No-one outside the US knows what they mean, and even within the US some people may not. Instead, write 'Hemet, California'.

  • The coordinates are in the title bar and the infobox, so there is no need to include it in the text.

  • Don't force image sizes; the default has been chosen for a reason, and people who want different sizes want to be able to view them as such.
  • Section headers are only capitalized if they are proper nouns. For instance, it is "The dams", not "The Dams" (although "The West Dam" is correct, if that is the official name of that dam.) Similarly, "Paleontological Finds" should be "Paleontological finds".

  • Avoid single-sentence paragraphs, such as the last on under "The West Dam".
Fixed Lvi56 (talk) 20:36, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Length is not measured in "millions of feet", but in miles.
  • By using {{convert}}, you avoid typographical errors in measurements. For instance, it is not 30m, but 30 m. (there is a space between the number and the unit).
  • Avoid subjective terms such as "world-famous".
Fixed Lvi56 (talk) 20:30, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Instead of writing "The official Diamond Valley Lake Web site", just put "Official site".
Fixed Lvi56 (talk) 20:30, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • All-caps is typography (such as boldfacing text) and therefore when citing titles in all-caps, reproduce them in normal letters instead.

Placing article on hold. Arsenikk (talk) 23:41, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe I have fixed many of the issues and have added to the lead. let me know how it is now Lvi56 (talk) 00:46, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations with a good article (and sorry for the late reply). Note that 'external links' always comes after the references. Arsenikk (talk) 22:58, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
