I don't see why the {{wikify}} header was added to this, as it seems to follow Wikipedia standards as to layout. So I removed it. This article is far from complete, spending way too much time on minor characters and none on plot, development, critical and sales response, etc. I have completely rewritten the introductory section, eliminating errors and expanding the sketchy and confusing information originally presented there. The characters section needs cleanup and copy editing. The major characters each are owed a paragraph of that size, but the minor ones don't warrant it. Anyone who's read the novels want to step in? This whole page needs to be redone[edit]

I removed this line: "Koontz and his collaborators turn Shelly's original on its head by portraying Frankenstein as the real monster, and Deucalion as the hero." as obviously whoever wrote this has never read Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Why is it only about characters? A book article should be met with spoiler warnings.

As a New Orleans native and a big Koontz fan I just want to say I've read the first 2 books since Hurricane Katrina and even though Koontz doesn't do the best job portraying New Orleans I think that postponing the book due to such a disaster is a bad idea since the people who have returned have even more reason then ever to want to read a fictional story about their beloved Home, which at times almost seems as different from the home we're used to as Koontz's book portrays it from the real thing.

I say put the line back in. I don't believe Koontz is writing a Frankenstein book. I have read most of his books and Shelly's book is the best story I ever read,I put Koontz's The Bad Place second. Shelly does not show Frankenstein as a monster, so if Koontz wants to portray him as one then let him change it his way, or their way, with his collaborators. He, Dean Koontz, is good and his mind is far out. He did answer my letter fifteen years ago about that forty five caliber revolver that ejects shell casings,hmmmmmmm, I don't think any body caught that but me anyway.I won't read his version of Frankenstein, I like the original and will leave it that way.[Mr.Kooked.5 Aug.2007]66.177.120.116 04:31, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
