"After Football"[edit]

Just a reminder/note that this section is written really poorly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Manys (talkcontribs) 17:32, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More than a stub[edit]

Nice job taking this stubby article and turning into something useful! Keep up the good work! Hamster Sandwich 06:29, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Immediately after the tackle, "Deacon Jones surveys the damage."

No mention of his infamous head slap technique?

Deacon Jones and Nightshift (the band) No mention of Jones singing with Nightshift (who went onto become War and perform with Eric Burdon of Animals fame)? See wiki: "War (band)" under "Beginnings". How long did Deacon Jones` singing career last? 71.112.66.222 00:09, 28 August 2007 (UTC) I wish to confirm the connection between Deacon Jones and the Nightshift Band. See[1] (includes possible picture of him with them), by Barry Alfonso.Daniel Sparkman (talk) 13:08, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WSJ source not a source[edit]

I just read the entire article about the making of the "Deacon Blues" and Deacon Jones is not mentioned once.
