Untitled[edit]

One reason as to why David May was so popular amongst Manchester United fans, is because he came from the club Blackburn Rovers; to which Alan Shearer refused to join Manchester United from, and chose to play for Newcastle United instead. Once David May joined the club, the fans wrote a song about him, saying he was 'great' because he took the chance to join Manchester United from Blackburn Rovers, while Alan Shearer pasted it by, or in footballing lauguage snubbed Manchester United. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.71.21.4 (talk) 22:53, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He's not from Oldham[edit]

He's from Middleton. Scherben808 (talk) 23:46, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Would you care to provide a source for that? – PeeJay 23:57, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see any evidence he wasn't born in Oldham though, which is what the article states. – PeeJay 19:29, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Furthermore, none of the sources you've provided are even remotely reliable. One forum post, a blog comment and a Facebook page are extremely lacking when it comes to passing WP:RS. – PeeJay 20:30, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
