Can we really call them 'alternative'?

What's going on with this article? The entire contents has changed from fairly disjoint encyclopedic content, to an easy reading puff piece! Sure it wasn't the best reading material before, but it acknowledged that the band existed prior to 2004, for example. 220.253.113.122, you sure are a smooth writer, but I want information on my favourite band, not being told reasons why I should like them!
