Manchester United[edit]

A fee being agreed is different from a transfer being officially completed, and you still have the medical to pass and the personal terms to agree on. As with all players, the article should be updated only upon official confirmation by the club(s). It applies to all player transfers, is the consensus of many editors and it is no different here. A case in point being Loïc Rémy, where a bid by Liverpool was accepted and the player underwent a medical but the deal fell through. For Ángel Di María's transfer to Manchester United, the same principle was applied. LRD NO (talk) 06:17, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Included for reference at point of writing, the announcement released by Manchester United about an hour ago states that:
Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Ajax to sign Daley Blind, subject to a medical and personal terms. A further announcement will be made when the process is complete.
Ajax's statement states that:
...the agreement (of the transfer) between the clubs is subject to fulfillment of certain conditions.

Whie I have little doubt that he will sign for Manchester United, you need to know by that encyclopedic standards, only the official confirmation of the transfer by Man Utd would do.
