@Asqueladd: I know it's two different terms, but having two different versions of "Member of the Congress of Deputies" that link to the same place and start in 2019 is still not helpful to readers. If you want to display properly that it's two different legislative sessions, you'll need to switch to something like {{infobox officeholder}} that supports that. @Nikkimaria: Hi. There was a compromise in play between two options: a) less hassle for updating & sourcing guaranteed vs b) the detail from the infobox officeholder + local data (the pros). The cons in play were a) less detail + non-local data vs b) facility to accumulate data in the form of cruft + tortuous upgrading.
a) was the selected choice, but b) could do too. You proposal c) mixes some pros & cons. But I (personally) just don't see that particular mix of pros and cons as an overall gain, nor I don't see the appearance of member of the Congress of Deputies referring to different terms as something "abominable". @Asqueladd: It is not clear to me what version or proposed version is being referred to with which letter - could you please clarify? Nikkimaria (talk) 18:04, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
