I suggest renaming the article to Cuban lobby in the United States for two reasons.

  1. There are already a some U.S.-specific lobby articles that follow that precedent:
  1. "Cuban lobby" in Google results in the most hits. This is what I found doing the searches this evening:
  • "Cuban lobby" - 1,910 hits
  • "Cuba lobby" - 1,090 hits
  • "Cuban-American lobby" - 716 hits

My main motivation, thought, is consistency of naming. --Ben Houston 03:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Those are quite different. The "Israel lobby" is a lobby for Israel. The "Arab lobby" is a lobby for the Arab world. The Cuban-American lobby is decidedly not a lobby for Cuba; quite the opposite. Also, in my Google search right now, "Cuban lobby" gets 10,400 hits, "Cuba lobby" gets 12,100 hits, and "Cuban-American lobby" gets 144,000 hits. 75.76.213.106 (talk) 14:18, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alberto Gonzales[edit]

Is Alberto Gonzales Cuban? Also what about Emilio Garza? WooyiTalk, Editor review 04:30, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, they're Mexican Americans if I'm not mistaken. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zleitzen (talkcontribs) 05:50, 25 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Added "History and formation" section[edit]

This section traces Cuban migration and its effects on the lobby's formation. It also provides an overview of political influence and shifts in ideology.Nerickson32 (talk) 17:33, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
