Fair use rationale for Image:Prince Crystal.jpg[edit]

Image:Prince Crystal.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Compilation/studio[edit]

An editor is taking up the issue of whether this is a studio album or not. It's not. Studio albums are planned ahead, with newly recorded material. This set is made up of songs (demos, outakes, tracks written/recorded atleast two/three years beforehand) that were discarded. See studio album and compilation album. Now, since the editor is proposing his change, he ought to justify it beforehand here. Dan56 (talk) 06:24, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, a conspicuously unreliable source! Dan56 (talk) 06:35, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't make it unreliable just because you say it is. Besides, there's more information on there then here. BrokenWall3 (talk) 06:37, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. It's unreliable, because its made up of user-generated content. (WP:RS) Dan56 (talk) 06:44, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Looks as if this release is a box set. It's made purely up of previously unreleased material as a "thank you" to fans, is it not? Status {talkcontribs 22:26, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there whitespace before the main article.[edit]

The whitespace is really annoying and should definitely be removed. Sherlemious (talk) 11:49, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(De)merge proposal[edit]

I request a merger of The Truth (Prince album) into this page. Although they are two different albums, research from various Prince discographies, Prince fan collections and other sites have shown that the Crystal Ball package is in fact FOUR discs, with The Truth being disc 4. I was also going to suggest merging Kamasutra (since it was included as a 5th disc in limited quantities, but i dont wanna push it). MaJic (talk) 04:22, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think The Truth deserves it’s own entry. Today in the digital age, one can find the album The Truth on all digital stores as a standalone album DJ Funkfunk (talk) 17:03, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Truth came out yesterday (12/06/2021) as a separate release. I think it is a good idea to split Crystal Ball and The Truth. warpozio (talk) 08:40, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, especially since the album found it's way to several charts due to the rerelease on Record Store Day (12/06/2021) DJ Funkfunk (talk) 09:24, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
